Espectadores en residencia (lit. "Resident Spectators”) is a proposal by artefactum group that I've been accepted to join as a participant.
The program began during the Sâlmon Festival in Barcelona. A festival dedicated to new of live arts proposals that I've been following for years. A moment where the art on stage takes an intense and interesting pulse.
The proposal formed a study community, dynamized by artefactum, with the willingness of promoting research and learning spaces by allowing spectators to assist and participate in the creative processes of the resident artists of the el Graner space in Barcelona. As a result of the pandemic, we shifted towards being spectators to a moment of change, which made the program pivot towards a dialogue between us (the participants) based on multimedia material.
All in all, this project generated a physical and digital space that allowed me to experiment as an active spectator and to enter in relationships with other people to reconfigure collective imaginaries together.
