11/2015 - 06/2017

When I was living in Japan I started learning practices with a strong ritual load, which I approached from the body activation perspective, focusing on the relation between gesture and subject-object.

The backbone of my learning was ceramics, as this practice had been my introduction to Japanese culture in Ray Art School (Tokyo) in 2015, as well as the unifying thread that led me to explore different approaches to craftsmanship that activate the performativity of gesture. I also took Butoh 暗黒舞踏 dance lessons to learn another language perspective that had been presented to me through Yohji Yamamoto's 90s creations.
